Abstract
The dissertation deals with Johann I. Joseph, Prince of Liechtenstein (1760–1836) as a soldier of the Napoleonic Wars and at the same time a builder of a large number of so-called voluptuary buildings on his estates. The first part of the dissertation deals with a brief history of the family, Johann's childhood and the beginning of his military career. This is followed by a chronological list of buildings, as well as an enumeration of the extensive princely domains and their administration. Therefore, the dissertation also focuses on the economic activities of the prince, description of his ideal year and day, or his support of artists and various associations. The final part of the dissertation focuses on the personal life of the prince and his family background. Finally, there is an analysis of the official princely titles, which have changed over the years, and iconographic sources - portraits of the Prince of Liechtenstein.
