A historical and regional study dedicated to the activities of the Hohenems family in Bystré near Polička. This family has many connections to the Princely House of Liechtenstein, particularly in view of its long-standing activities in Vorarlberg, Schellenberg, and Vaduz.
The author is a graduate of the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University, specializing in Czech language and history. He focuses on regional history and literature. He is the author of numerous publications and articles on regional topics.
The present publication is divided into several basic parts. It deals with the history of Bystrý near Polička before the arrival of the Hohenems family. The next chapter gives basic information about the history of this family. The core of the work is then devoted to the six most important personalities of the family in the two stages of the modern era (Jakub Hanibal III. Bedřich, 1653-1730; František Vilém Rudolf, 1686-1756; František Vilém III. Maximilian, 1692-1759; Maria Rebecca Josefa, 1742-1828; Arnostka of Langet, 1804-1868.
