Prof. Mgr. Tomáš Knoz, Ph.D. is a professor of general history of the early modern period at the Department of History of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University. He studied history and art history at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno from 1984 to 1996 and law at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University from 1992 to 1993.
He focuses on the history of the House of Liechtenstein in the context of social change in Central Europe after the Thirty Years' War, the history of the nobility and their way of life, and the role of aristocratic residences as places of remembrance.
